Bitlocker encryption scripts not doing anything

I have tried the three bitlocker encryption scripts on two different computer win 10 & 11 but they do not seem to do anything.

The log shows as successful and that the drive is locked but the drives in both cases were not encrypted and still shows as unlocked

recoverykey.txt to c:\ script result shows:

2026/04/23 09:48:22 AM Finished success C:\Recoverykey.txt Drive C: is now in locked state
2026/04/23 09:47:10 AM Started

recoverykey.txt file gets created with 0 bytes in size.

All the encryption scripts were run as system user and all come back as successful but no change to the encryption status on the drives.

Where am I going wrong?

Thanks for the response.

I gave up on the idea after failing with all scripts I tried.

I found that I could encrypt Drive D: where an external drive was used for test but not Drive C:

I tried:

Thanks for the scripts
I imported them, but they have had a status of being analyzed by Threat Labs for a few days, once marked as safe I will test on a lab PC and give you feedback.

The scripts have still not been approved, this is odd as most imported scripts are approved within a few hours.
