Xcitium Enterprise & Platform Release (January 09, 2025)

Xcitium Enterprise & Platform

Improvements

  • Added an informational message under Supported Device Platforms to guide users on the upgrade process. The message clarifies that upgrading from XCS version 12.12 or older to version 13.4 requires an intermediate upgrade to version 13.0 or 13.2.

Bug-Fixes

  • Fixed broken filtering by “Create process” behavior and sorting by Date on the HIPS events page.
  • Fixed an issue where deleting a scheduled procedure did not automatically update the profile configuration, allowing the deleted procedure to continue running on endpoints.
  • Fixed an issue where the device list returned 0 external devices if the Hardware Path filter contained a “/” character.
  • Addressed broken sorting by “Created by” and “Last Modified by” in the Procedure list on the Xcitium web portals.
  • Resolved an issue preventing SOCaaP domains from being added to website protection.
  • Fixed an issue where “.com.co” domains could not be added for website monitoring.

Xcitium Client Security for Windows (XCSW)

Improvements

  • Added the ability to enable or disable logging for XCS Self Protection directly from the Agent UI, providing users control over logging preferences.

Bug-Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where XCS Script Analysis failed to detect scripts run using the context menu “Run with PowerShell” on Windows 11.
  • Resolved an issue where no TDT notification was displayed upon sample detection.
  • Fixed a problem where XCS blocked the installation of .NET Framework 3.5.
  • Addressed an issue where the “Reset Container” operation would hang during a clean run.
  • Resolved a problem where certain DLL files in XCS could not be restored by Watchdog or Diagnostics due to their absence in the XCS backup.
  • Fixed a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) issue that occurred during XCS Container Reset.

Hi @Umut

“Added the ability to enable or disable logging for XCS Self Protection directly from the Agent UI, providing users control over logging preferences.”

Can you explain to me what the logs mentioned here are? Are they the HIPS logs that prevent writing to the COMODO protection list?

Thanks
