We’re sharing details about an upcoming update to Xcitium Enterprise & Platform, focused on delivering important bug fixes for the XCS for Windows agent. :sparkles: The deployment is expected to take around 4 hours. No service disruption is expected, but if anything unusual comes up afterward, let us know.

Xcitium Client Security for Windows

Bug-Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the Obsolete Files tab under File Rating on the endpoint failed to display rated files, despite them being visible on the web portal.
  • Fixed an issue where endpoints with XCS installed on Windows 10 generated error-level events from the SecurityCenter source in the Windows Event Log.
  • Fixed an issue that caused a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) during XCS Container Reset when certain applications were running in the container, ensuring the reset process completes successfully.
  • Fixed an issue where updating XCS from version 13.3.1.9649 to 13.4.0.9695 failed with error 0x02000011, ensuring a smooth update process.
  • Fixed an issue where repeated installations of the Watchdog service were not blocked, allowing multiple instances to be created with different service names and locations. Only the first service installation is now allowed, as expected.
  • Fixed an issue where XCS failed to quarantine all detected files in high-load scenarios, ensuring reliable real-time quarantine even when processing a large number of threats.
  • Fixed an issue where the real-time scanner missed multiple identical files during folder traversal, ensuring all threats are consistently detected and quarantined.
