Remote Control Tool Unstable (Frequent Failures, Disconnects, False Offline Status)

Over the last few months we’ve been experiencing increasing instability with the built-in remote control tool. We’re seeing this across multiple device types and environments: desktops, laptops, and servers.

What we’re observing (recurring issues):

  • Connection frequently fails (remote session won’t start or times out), and we end up using alternative tools like AnyDesk to continue support.
  • Sessions sometimes connect and then disconnect unexpectedly shortly after.
  • Devices occasionally show as Offline even though they are clearly Online (reachable, active user, network OK), which prevents us from starting a remote session.

Impact:

This is affecting our ability to provide reliable support because we can’t trust session availability, and it forces us to switch tools mid-incident.

Has anyone else noticed similar behavior recently?

We’re experiencing the same issue, and it’s honestly quite frustrating. We use Comodo Remote Control on Mac, and even with a stable internet connection on both ends, it can still be very slow. We also occasionally encounter the same problem you described. Hopefully, they can provide a fix or workaround soon.

We’re using the Windows version every day, connecting to Windows machines, without any major issues.
