What’s in This Release
WHAT’S NEW
➤ HIPS Renamed to EDR Across the XCS Agent Interface
All references to “HIPS” in the XCS Agent UI now display “EDR.” Existing configurations and policies remain fully compatible with no changes required.
BUG FIXES
➤ Ransomware Protection Enhanced for Network Share Encryption
Ransomware protection now detects, and blocks file encryption attempts on network shares that use end-of-file write semantics.
➤ Ransomware Protection Now Covers Large File Encryption
Ransomware protection now detects, and blocks encryption attempts on large files hosted on network shares.
➤ Files Now Open Correctly When Run Inside Containment via Context Menu
Files such as .txt documents now launch their associated applications correctly when run inside the container using the right-click context menu.
➤ AV No Longer Flags Its Own Quarantine Submission Files
AV detections are no longer incorrectly triggered by files in the quarantine submission folders, eliminating spurious detections during the analysis submission process.
➤ Memory Leak on Windows Server 2019 Resolved
Memory usage on Windows Server 2019 endpoints running XCS remains stable over time, preventing performance degradation from progressive memory growth.
XCITIUM ENTERPRISE
Run your own phishing simulations, on your schedule.
What you can see: A new Phishing Simulation page under Risk Services shows your service start/end dates and four simulation cards — one active at a time — each tracking setup progress (whitelist, templates, test emails, trainees, scheduling).
What you can do: Configure and launch each simulation through a guided step-by-step wizard, send and verify test emails, manage your trainee list, and schedule simulations whenever it suits you rather than on a fixed quarterly cycle. Download simulation reports anytime from the Reports card.
Why it matters: You get full self-onbairding control over phishing simulation timing and setup, with built-in checks (whitelist verification, test email confirmation) that reduce the chance of a misconfigured campaign.
Track and launch cyber awareness training from one place.
What you can see: A new Cyber Awareness Training page shows a live completion ring for your organization’s training progress, a trainee management table, and a reports list — all in one dashboard view.
What you can do: Add trainees individually or via upload, choose from three SAFE course tiers (30/60/90-minute, increasing in depth), launch training with one click, and generate a snapshot report or download past training reports by year.
Why it matters: Gives administrators a simple, self-onbaoarding way to enroll staff and choose the right level of training, with real-time visibility into completion rates — no need to request reports manually.
